Experience:
Jude is an experienced litigator with over 25 years’ experience in the legal world. Jude started her journey into law as a paralegal dealing with criminal cases and qualified as a police station representative. Jude then qualified as a barrister and moved her practice over to civil law. Jude later cross-qualified to obtain solicitor status and as such she is a Solicitor-Advocate with higher rights of audience, allowing her to appear in front of all levels of judges in all civil courts in England and Wales.

Jude’s practice covers property litigation, commercial litigation, contractual disputes, contentious probate and ecclesiastical disputes, having spent time as the Deputy Diocesan Registrar for the diocese of Hereford, advising the Bishop of Hereford on all matters including church buildings disputes, church staff conduct issues and parishioner complaints. Jude often takes on cases that fall between areas of law and are therefore technically difficult.

Career:
Jude has built up a practice known for taking on national building developers, in cases of defective new build properties and has had many successes against such developers in court. She has a passion for fighting for the David’s against the Goliath’s of the world!

Jude has an excellent record of victories in the courtroom and was complimented by a High Court Judge following his judgement in a trial for being “fair and with unwavering integrity to the court”. Jude prides herself on being entirely transparent and direct with clients particularly with regards to their prospects of success, as well as on costs and Jude has always found that her clients find her to be dependable, approachable and as having a calming influence on clients throughout their cases.

Jude has taught Civil Litigation on the Bar Training Course and loves the opportunity to pass on her knowledge and passion for civil litigation with anyone entering the legal profession.

Jude was the Deputy Registrar for the Diocese of Hereford, where she was involved in applications for consents from the church, relating to various matters, including works to church buildings, marriage ceremonies, and property matters.

Jude is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and has the additional qualification of Advanced Litigation with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Hobbies/Interests:
In her spare time Jude enjoys various sports and walking her three dogs. Jude also enjoys painting and drawing with a particular interest in pop art.
