Court of Protection
The Court of Protection was established to make decisions on behalf of people who have lost or never had mental capacity (known as the Protected Party).
The Court of Protection can appoint people (Deputies) to manage P’s financial affairs, create a Will for P and make other decisions such as whether they should receive specific medical treatment or whether certain property should be sold.
Lawson West's experienced Court of Protection team in Leicester and Market Harborough can help you navigate the Court, with particular specialism in:
-
Deputyship Applications (both Financial Affairs and Personal Welfare)
