Career
Marta qualified as a Solicitor in September 2020 and works within the Probate, Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney team at our Leicester office. Since 2016, Marta has been advising clients on Wills of varying complexities (including Trust Wills), Inheritance Tax, Lasting Powers of Attorney and more recently over the last three years, advising on the winding-up of Trusts and dealing with all types of Probate and Estate Administration. Marta advises on all areas of tax which may need to be considered during the administration period, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax.

Experience
Marta prides herself on being friendly and approachable as she believes it is important to get to know her clients in order to provide them with the best possible advice. Marta loves all aspects of her job but in particular enjoys dealing with Estate Administration matters and says that “at a time which is already quite difficult and emotional for families, being able to assist them with the administration process and alleviating some of the burden, is rewarding in itself”.

Marta is a Dementia Friend which is an Alzheimer’s Society’s programme designed to change people’s perceptions of dementia. Dementia is something which is very close to her heart and therefore she understands the need for clients to get their affairs in order, while they are still in a position to do so.

Interests/Hobbies
Outside of work Marta enjoys spending time with her family, especially her husband and little boy, travelling around the world and baking.
