Senior Associate Solicitor
Kate commenced her training at a small regional practice and was admitted as a solicitor in 2001. She then moved to Thompsons Solicitors where she progressed from a junior solicitor to manager where she oversaw the delivery of employment law services to the trade union movement and ran strategic cases, most notably securing a landmark victory against the Home Office in the Supreme Court (Essop & Others v The Home Office) which is recognised as a ‘landmark’ discrimination case. An accolade for which she was awarded, ‘The Times Lawyer of the Week.’ Kate has extensive experience in all aspects of employment law and practice and has particular expertise advising those with disabilities and mental health issues. More recently Kate worked at Didlaw where she continued to provide advice and representation and helped secure favourable settlements for her clients. Kate is pragmatic, down to earth and commercially astute and goes above and beyond to deliver for her clients.
