Increase to Tribunal Compensation Limits
It’s that time of year again! The government's annual increase in compensation limits for employment tribunal awards take effect from 6th April 2024. The figures this year are a little easier to remember... The main changes are:
1. The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal claim will increase from £105,707 to £115,115
2. The limit on a week’s pay will increase from £643 to £700
Other changes to note include:
Statutory Sick Pay
From Saturday 6th April 2024 Statutory Sick Pay will increase from £109.40 to £116.75, the lower earnings limit remains at £123.
Statutory Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, Shared Parental and Parental Bereavement Pay
From Sunday 7th April 2024 the below will all increase from £172.48 to £184.03 per week:
