Lawson-West charity work continues in 2023
LAWSON-WEST SOLICITORS –
CHARITY & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Over the past year, Lawson-West Solicitors has made a concerted effort to ensure that as a law firm we were not only supporting each other, but also supporting our community.
2022 Highlights
-
Lawson-West Solicitors contributed nearly £4,000 in charity donations throughout 2022, not including additional funds raised by individual members of staff.
-
In 2022, Lawson-West Solicitors helped raise £2,113.16 for LOROS charity from Lawson-West's 'The Business Quiz' event held in November 2022 at Leicester Racecourse.
"Thank you again, you all worked so hard to make it a success, and to do all of this for LOROS means the world to everyone at the hospice. Warmest regards to everyone at Lawson-West."
-
Our brave receptionist in Market Harborough office, Rebecca Rowland, took part in a charity tandem skydive last summer in support of the British Liver Trust. Rebecca experienced the traumatic death of a close family member who died from liver cancer last year and decided to take part in the skydive to raise important funds for this worthy cause.
-
Olu Modupe, Head of IT Services and Communications at Lawson West Solicitors in Leicestershire, ran two marathons and a 10K race last autumn to raise important funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of a close friend that his family lost to cancer earlier this year.
-
Additionally, in the wider community we are proud to be a member of the National Free Wills Network which offers free simple Wills to supporters of 188 national and local charities, encouraging legacy-giving in clients' Wills.
Managing Director, David Heys, commented:
"This is a testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of all of us in Lawson-West and I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am to be part of this incredible team. It is a true reflection of our Core Values and we will strive to continue supporting our local and wider communities throughout the year."
“We thank each and every person who supported our charity giving activities last year, and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2023.”
